Architecture for Charity can help you design and build your dream home in your own lot. We may design a home that will fit your needs and budget or select one of our homes already designed and make modifications to fit your specific needs.
We will help you acquire permanent mortgage financing that will pay off our construction loan. You may also qualify for City of Dallas Homebuyer Assistance Program (DHAP). The City of Dallas will assist qualified low-income families with up to $40,000.00 that can be used as a down payment and/or closing cost, depending on the need of each family. DHAP loans do not accrue interest, and do not require a monthly payment. It is a deferred, forgivable loan with forgiveness occurring incrementally with the residency terms of the loan (affordability period). For more information about DHAP click here.
